More than 100 people enjoyed an evening of glitz and glamour at a ball organised by Burnham charity In Charley’s Memory.

Organisers hailed the event at the Grand Pier in Weston a huge success with all funds raised going to the newly registered charity.

Barli Wicks, event co-ordinator for In Charley’s Memory, said: “It was absolutely amazing. The evening went so well.”

The Good Friday Ball was the charity’s first event as a registered organisation seven months after it formed and Barli hopes it can go from strength to strength.

The charity was created in memory of Burnham teenager Charley Marks. The group aims to offer support to young people with mental illness and their families.
