Society is supporting Stand Against Violence as part of the tenth anniversary of the tragic death of Lloyd Fouracre in 2005

Following the success of the Stand Against Violence (SAV) charity ball, SAV has launched a yearlong campaign to raise valuable funds for the charity as part of the tenth anniversary of the murder of Lloyd Fouracre. The £10 for 10 years campaign asks the local community to make a one-off donation of £10 either via the Stand Against Violence website, or #10for10, by filling out the donation form or by texting SAVE17 £10 to 70070.

The charity is hoping to raise at least £10,000 through this campaign but with enough support we could smash that to over £100,000. Taunton Deane has a population of around 111,000 so with the communities support this is a real possibility.

Adam Fouracre, founder and chief executive of Stand Against Violence said: “We have been a small local charity for several years but in the last year we have gone national. To continue this reach and benefit the wider community and all young people we need a springboard to achieve this.”

The charity intends to use the funds to aid its growth to reach more young people on a national level.

Adam said: “To ensure consistent delivery of a school based programme we know is working we need to make sure that what we deliver in the South West is replicated in the North. To do this we need the assistance of a full time qualified teacher and that requires funding.”

The charity also uses the funding to enable all schools to access the workshops by offering them free for the first booking. This helps the charity to reach out to new schools, new groups of young people and to show educational establishments what a real difference SAV’s work can achieve. A new film project will also be supported through the fundraising as well as some smaller but crucial job roles.

Stand Against Violence is asking everyone to support their work and help a charity that has shown its determination and impact to reach more young people and improve the safety of the wider community.
